FASHION PROFILE: LEOPOLD
Leopold is an Australian menswear label that is praised for its inter-mixing of traditional with contemporary. Led by the creative minds of Shandor Gancs and Boyd Parry, Leopold has quickly emerged as a major player on the Australian menswear scene and has developed a cult following amongst the Aussie cool. Their elegant style defines itself in rich fabrics, unexpected details, fine tailoring, artistic cuts and bold colours.
The label's first brick-and-mortar store opened in 2007 in one of Melbourne's trendiest districts — between prestigious Collins Street and über-cool Flinders Lane. However, winning the coveted 2008 Australian Fashion Awards for Best Menswear Designer, has shown that Leopold is fiercely doing their thing.
